Protern.io, a Proskida technology, is pleased to announce a multi-year agreement with Alpine Canada. As an Official Supplier, Canada’s top athletes now have access to the world’s most advanced training tool for alpine skiing as they prepare for the upcoming Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. The agreement also provides an opportunity for regional and development teams to access Protern.io through training and Programs of Excellence at Alpine Canada.
“We are really pleased to add Alpine Canada to the roster of national teams using Protern.io especially as they train for Beijing 2022. We have had great uptake in Europe and as a Canadian company producing leading-edge technology it is exciting to see our Canadian athletes benefit from Protern.io as well.”
Alastair Smith, Proskida CEO
Protern.io’s sport performance technology gathers over 5,000 data points per run, providing insights that allow coaches and athletes to isolate and correct challenge areas in real time. Alpine Canada has been using the software for almost two years with the Para-Alpine ski team, and now as an Official Supplier the Men’s and Women’s Ski Teams will also be adding Protern.io to their toolbox in their journey to Olympic and World Cup podiums.
“It’s great to have a home-grown Canadian company that provides such advanced data and technology for our athletes and coaches as an Official Supplier in our pursuit for excellence; it’s a win for us both. We look forward to elevating our training environments with support from Protern.io.”
Mark Tilston, Canada's Men's Alpine Team Head Coach
The partnership comes as Protern.io looks to expand beyond the elite national teams it has been working with to include more development outreach. The deal with ACA includes webinars, training and support for not only Canada’s National teams, but also an opportunity for integration at the provincial and territorial level, with a focus on the measurement of time on task within a training day.
“It is an ideal time for us to work with teams at all levels across Canada. Athlete and sport development is at the heart of what we do, and Alpine Canada can play a key role in that. Our product has helped hundreds of athletes improve quickly over the last 12 months. We are constantly improving the tool based on feedback from World Cup level coaches to regional team athletes. With our customers’ help, we have made Protern.io the most advanced training tool for alpine ski racers.”
