Pricing and access

How Protern pricing works

Most people start with a Protern Pack. It includes the sensor, bib, and a Protern Pass so an athlete can record runs and review them in Protern.

A Protern Pass is the subscription that keeps access active. Protern Packs are sold with different Pass terms, so you can choose what fits your season.

Coaches do not need their own Protern Pass to review athlete sessions.

This page explains what to buy, what is included, and how access works over time.

When do I need TimeLink?

It depends on how you film. If you film with a phone, you do not need TimeLink. If you film with a video camera, you do.

Filming with a video camera

If you film with a video camera, use a TimeLink or Protern Clock. It connects to the camera’s microphone port and records a timing signal for accurate video linking.

Filming with a phone

If you film with a phone, use the Protern Video app. This records video in a way that links cleanly to the run data.

Adding TimeLink later

TimeLink can be purchased at any time. You do not need it to get started if you are filming with a phone.
